My first Week and a half

So I have now officially been to all the classes I will be taking this semester here in England, I must say I am woefully unimpressed however. The facilities suck and the most of the teachers (I had one exception) do not seem to give a damn that they are even there. It feels a lot like a community college. I suppose this is good for me as a study abroad student, as I get more opportunities to enjoy myself. However I cannot help but feel remorse for the students who actually go here to get all of their education. I doubt this is true of all British Universities but this one seems to care more about protocol than actually teaching anything.

Despite what I say here I have been having a very good time in London. I have done a good bit of sight seeing. This includes the British Museum, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace. As well as a large amount of just traveling around London and seeing what there is to do.

Welcome to my graduation required blog.

Hello my name is Bryan Butler and I am an Eastern Washington University student, Senior year, Philosophy Major, Study Abroad student. There we go name, rank, and serial number. Now that the formalities are out of the way I guess I should actually write something in my blog.

This is actually the first blog I will be forced to keep up with since EWU requires it. While I am not thrilled about this fact I suppose I have to accept it and have some fun. First I will give a little bit of a biography on my awesome self. First thing you should know is that I am a nerd. Hell half the reason I am excited about England is that I get to visit Warhammer World. If you do not know what that is, do not worry, it just means you are probably more popular than myself. Secondly, I am a philosopher so expect some good philosophy comments while I am around. I really hope to find some of those famous philosophically based pub discussions I have heard so much about. Lastly, know that I am writing this more to keep my friends and family up to date about my trip than to please EWU, sorry Elena.

So there is the speal. My flight leaves bright and early at 6:30 AM tomorrow morning and I arrive in England at about the same time the next day, oh joy. Expect to hear from me soon. Bon Voyage!
